The library provides books (regular print and large print), magazines, audiobooks (compact disc, cassette, and playaways), music compact disc, and video materials in DVD and VHS format for circulation. The library provides Texshare databases for on site and remote access. The library provides interlibrary loan service to give our patrons access to materials available from other libraries. The library has a typewriter for public use, fax machine, XEROX machine and a microfilm reader. A local Genealogy Club meets once a month in the library meeting room. The library has a large genealogy collection. The library has summer program activities for pre-schoolers and grades K-12. The library also offers an on site storytime each week as well as an off site story time at a local coffee shop. The library also has craft nights for young adults and movie times for all ages. The library also provides programs for school children from Snyder, Hermleigh and Ira schools. Also, once a week the children's librarian provides programs for children at the Snyder Day Care.The library also has an active Friends group. The library also provides tax forms to the public free of charge unless copies are made from the computers or xerox machine. The library also has telephone books available to the public. The library director provides readings for the residents at the two nursing homes and the resident patients at the local hospital. The library has a meeting room that is available to the public for no charge. The library also has a private study area.
